Hales Chapel Family,
We had another wonderful day of worship on Sunday as we came into the presence of the Lord as a community of worshippers and as we celebrated the public profession of faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord by Sarah Boyette. We will be planning a baptismal service soon. If you or someone you know has been thinking about baptism, please, contact Tina, Dakota or me so we can discuss this act of obedience with you/them.
A special word of thanks to Dakota and all of the volunteers for the D-Now event this past weekend. The reports from D-Now have been fantastic. Please, be patient with the volunteers as they try to catch up on their sleep. I do appreciate them not snoring too loudly during my sermon this past Sunday. J I have thanked the D-Now guest speaker for picking on Cindy Brantley. I wish I could take credit for it but it was not planned. Cindy is just an easy target. J

Devotional Thought: 2 Timothy 2:24–26 The Lord’s slave must not quarrel, but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach, and patient, 25 instructing his opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance leading them to the knowledge of the truth. 26 Then they may come to their senses and escape the Devil’s trap, having been captured by him to do his will. If you are correct with your theological beliefs but you have the wrong attitude and actions towards others—you are wrong. If you are correct with your vision but you have the wrong attitude and actions towards others—you are wrong. Not quarrel. Gentle to everyone. Patient. Gentleness. To be honest it is fairly easy to behave in this way with folks who agree with you, but we are instructed to behave this way with people who disagree with us.
In His Steps,
Al
